Hi, folks. Pretty quiet around here...

How did you do this Chrismas/Hannukah/Kwanzaa, etc?

No game presents for me, but on the evening of the 24th, I brought my Duo
over to my friend's pad, and three of us had a Bomberman battle for a few
hours. It was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, my foes for the night were
pathetic (even though they played it a lot), so I kept on winning almost
every round. We had to resort to extreme measures to even out the game: we
pulled out three bottles of wine, and I had to take a large gulp of wine
every time I won a round. I got nice and dizzy that night. :-)

Then, the three of us, all rather inebriated, watched "Evil Dead II" on DVD.
That was rather funny. I think I finally passed out around 5:30 in the
morning.

So... um, well, this wasn't a real Christmasy Christmas this year, but I had
a lot of fun. And the Turbo played a part in it. :-)

Merry Smirghoff! ;-)

I've tried to list the AC Adaptor specs for each of the PCE/Turbo consoles
on my website, but I probably missed some... I have 99% of all PCE/Turbo
consoles, so if you see one I didn't add, just let me know. The one you're
looking for is here:

http://www.bitfly.com/cgi-bin/games.pl?area=games&item=TG16&subitem=Console&
log=tl&page=P.22

The bad news is, I've never been able to find a substitute AC Adaptor for
this unit at RadioShack since the amperage is so high (it obviously powers
both the CD-unit and the PCE), but that doesn't mean some other company
doesn't make one or that its just my local supply.

Not the way I'd choose to spend my Xmas, but who the hell am I to judge
anyone? I spent the last two, eating Sushi and going to work!

My friend just emailed me from Tokyo like 10 mins ago and he said that
Trader 2 dumped their entire PCE section. The last time I was at Trader 2
(in Feb I believe) they had a pretty decent selection... better than
Trader 1 at that time. I hope this isn't a sign of other stores getting
rid of their PCE goods. Or maybe they are going to operate as one store
and have all goods of one type in only one location...

Or maybe nobody was buying because they are more expensive than everywhere
else? :)

Man... that's odd! You're right though... there PCE section was HUGE...
at least 2-3 times that of Trader 1. But, the store doesn't exactly
have a TON of space, so I could see maybe they'll put the old games in
one store, and the newer stuff (32-bit & up) in Trader 2 maybe.
BTW -- I've only stopped in there once since the Summer, but did
confirm that the prices were as I had stated... basically not what that
elusive flyer had printed on it.
