I'm looking at a disassembly of the 4 minute backup program. It's not the
easiest thing to understand due to undocumented weirdnesses of the 1541.
One thing that looks like is occurring is non-standard use of the serial
bus - it appears to be transmitting data bits over both data and clock
lines.
If anyone else out there is currently engaged in this exercise in masochism,
perhaps we should pool notes.
