I am using beta MacTerminal 0.5 with an 11/750 running Unix; the terminal
is connected to the VAX through a (theoretically transparent) local-area
network. I am still having the transfer problems that some others here have
been having: Macput compiles fine, after issuing the command
"macput -r melody.dl" the Mac puts up the "percent of transfer finished"
meter and trandfers about 20% of the file. Then the meter stops moving,
and after about 20 seconds the Mac tells me "GOT IO Error 1 Got BadResult -
getFork(resFork.". It appears that my connection is not dealing properly
with some aspect of the packet acknowledge aspect of xmodem (or something.)
One person has said that it might help to have the terminal directly wired
to the VAX, but I don't feel like carrying my Macintosh into the machine
room and plugging it into the back of an 11/780 just to play "melody"!!
Let's get this bug fixed, guys! (please?)
