CORCOMP FINALLY DELIVERS THE NEW CONTROLLER

After months of announcements, promises, and delays, CORCOMP has made its
first shipments of its double-density disk controller card for the
Peripheral Expansion Box. As promised, the new card does deliver 368K on
double-sided drives and 184K on single-sided drives. It will also read all
standard (92K) TI disks.

You no longer have to use the Disk Manager Module to format disks with the
new controller. The system tracks can be directly written by the CORCOMP
controller or they can be written by Disk Manager at the users option.

Several TRILUG and TITAN (local users groups) members are currently using
this new controller. All report they are very happy with the performance.
The only bug reported is that this controller will NOT work with the
FOUNDATION 128K card. CORCOMP states they are working on correcting this
bug.

Cost is between $170 and $200.
