Has anyone out there had any contact with the Tava PC?
What have your experiences been? How well do the Qume disk
drives perform? Direct responses appreciated.

Thank you,

From: Mel Moy

One of the PC magazines did a review on the compatibility of IBM
compatible machines. TAVA scored high, but have heard disgruntled
reports on satisfaction with quality control of the unit. CDC drives
seem to be most preferred amongst users. Tandon and Qume have had
problems--plus they're noisy.

Well, the only things I have heard about it are:

1) Whole Earth Software Catalog says that if price is your *only*
concern ( not compatibility ), then it is for you.

2) A local dealer's service guy told me that they have a nasty
habit of cracking their motherboards ( say what? ).
