In response to the talk on the net recently about disk drives for

the C-64, I thought that I would mention the following ad to help

stimulate conversation.... (paraphrasing)

The ad appeared on page 45 of the May issue of RUN. The heading is:

* HIGH SPEED FLOPPY DISK for COMMODORE 64 *

...With a data transfer rate of 250,000 bits per second, over ten

times faster than the serial bus, QUICKDISK .....

MODEL 340 - 2 DUAL 3 in. (286K)........895 dollars
MODEL 580 - 1 SINGLE 5 and one quarter in. (286K) ... 695 dollars
MODEL 580 - 1 DUAL 5 and one quarter in. (572K) ... 895 dollars

My questions are:

one. Does anyone know more details about these drives?

two. Does anyone know details about this company ?

three. Are these drives compatable with the 1541 disks ?
( notice the 286K figure for the single drive ....
the 1541 has only 170K per disk... this seems strange...)

please mail me and or post your comments... thanks ...
