I posted a request on behalf of my brother a few weeks ago for
information on mailing list programs for the c64. I got only
one (satisfied) response, about easy mail from cbm. Since the
major requirement was flexibility in selecting or sorting by
arbitrary attributes, it seems that maybe a database system would
do a good job, and handle other miscellaneous jobs too.
Most of the available dbms systems are pretty expensive tho.

Do any of you use a general-purpose database system?
What kinds of things do you use it for?
How has it worked out?

Thanks,
