Warning! Rant!

I have been eagerly awaiting the release of Genshiken Second Season(aka
Nidame) volume 2. This was originally scheduled for the
19th of March. I went there then and it was not on hand.
I came home and checked the net and it had been moved back
to today. I went to the shop here in San Francisco today and it
had not even been ordered i learned on enquiry.
Well I should have it in a week or so as I have ordered it
from TRSI this morning and pre-ordered volume 3 due out in September.

The anime is not yet scheduled for release in the USA otherwise
I would have pre-ordered it today.

Last week the scanalator dealing with Genshiken Nidame was
threatened by Kodansha. I think I may write a nasty letter as without
scanalation I would not even know this was worth bothering with.
Good news is that the scanalator completed Yonensei and is presently
busy with Gonensei These are the earlier works of Shimoko Kio which
like his better known work deal with young adults and their relationships.

Apparently, a few people have already had volume 2 delivered to them
from Amazon. Where online was it mentioned that the release had been
delayed?

I just searched on the 19th of March and found that the
release date was now listed as the 27th of March.

By the way I don't have any liking for e-books as I want
stuff I can pick up in my hands and read with no more than enough
light to see by.

I don't own an e-book specific reader nor yet any
tablet because the tablet(s) I want have to have a keyboard
that attaches and high resolution not high definition as on
TV. That tablet with keyboard will run me over $700 (USD)
and will have resolution of 1900 x 1200 pixels. I am saving
for it.

I hope what I want is still on the market when I
have either the cash or the credit to pay for it. In the
meantime I am stuck with sticking about $150/month on the
cc to pay for an herbal medication that may be helping my
refractory fatigue syndrome and a medication hat my Part
D insurer will not pay for.

Young people should emulate the Japanese and save
like there is no other use for money. I did not and now
have to fight for every penny I spend on my hobbies which
are not only anime and manga but computing using GNU/Linux.

Oh and Dave thanks for your informative postings
about new shows.

I just checked and Amazon Canada has it listed as in-stock and available
for immediate shipping, so it must have been out for a while.
