In answer to a question asked a while back about an interface for the
Atari so that a standard cassette deck could be used, the February issue
of "Computers and Electronics" has a construction article on just what
you want. You can even send for a complete kit of parts including the
PWB for $29.??. You can also buy the Printed Wiring Board by itself
if you have a source of cheap or free parts. Another consideration you
might check out locally is the now discontinued 410 recorder. I saw them
for $39.95 at a local Venture store the week before Christmas. At that
price, it might be a better investment since looking for your portable
recorder or tape deck every time you want to use it can be a hassle.

Hope this helps...
