Ok, since no one came through with the reviews (and since I got my
Christmas bonus and Sear's has all their Vectrex cartrages off 15%) I broke
down and got three games.
Web Wars: Yup, its as good as the previous reviews said. Very
enjoyable to play and watch.
Spike: A talking game. So far I only made it into three
screens, so I don't know if it says anything else except,
"Oh,Spike !"
"Help !"
"Molly !"
and "Darnit !" when you get killed.
Very "cute" graphics, which is a nice change now and then.
The game is a typical "climb the ladder to the next walkway"
type, with your usual moving nasty bad guys. An interesting
note is that the hero (Spike) "kills" his opponents by kicking
them. Since he only has two limbs, its fun to see him kick.
Narnod (or something like that):
This game is extremely frustrating. I don't know if
I'm playing it because I enjoy feeling frustrated or out of
stubborness. The idea is you have a "hovercraft" and must pass
through three mountain passes. All of these passes are guarded
by three of four types of creatures. They can roll down the
pass energy balls that will bounce off the path walls (the
warbirds will fire bullets at you). Now for the "best"
feature. Your bullets will also bounce around. When you play
this game you will see what I mean about calling this a
"feature".
Visually its very nice, but just try to play it. If
anyone can give me hints in playing this game, PLEASE send
them. I cant even get past the middle path yet!
