I recently came across this manga and although it's episodic, the stories
were quite interesting. Although mushi is Japanese for insect, the main
character deals in more supernatural affairs. It's sort of an anthology
where the main character happens by
I am reading the book in Japanese but out of curiosity, checked Amazon to
see if it has been translated and was shocked to find what people are asking
for this book.

$97.38 for 240 pages? Does anyone know what the cover price is on this
book? I liked the story but didn't think it was worth more than $7.50 at
the most.
The most shocking thing was that it didn't have a definitive ending and
volume ten just had typical stories without any closure.

That seems quite unreasonable so in a spirit of friendship
I looked it up on couple of sites. The following looks pretty good.

The highest asking price is $900 (plus shipping) for something that 99.99%
of the population aren't interested in:

I just learned about this manga and it's not as it's collectible. The point
is that there's no way anyone would pay that much for a book that may not
even be out of print.

No one sane and sensible of course would pay such a price or the
prices asked for some of the directly imported Japanese DVD/Blu Ray sets
but when you have enough people you will find some willing to pay
the prices asked. They will think they have something special,
The same thing is seen in AudioPhool Equipment when the cables
are special treated to empty wallets and bank accounts.
