I would like to discuss the new Atari video game Crystal Castles with
anyone who has played it. The game itself has several boards per level, and
increasing level number indicates increasing difficulty. This game has the
feature that by playing it you are told about secret "warps", which when used
send you to a higher level. You are told about these warps when your game is
over, and only when it decides to tell you. I myself only know about 3 of
these warps, including the trivial one that almost everyone who has ever
played knows. I spend most of my time trying to get as far into level 9 as
I can, and I am never told about the secret warps, perhaps because the level
I am playing at is too high for it to want to tell me. Does anybody else on
the net know about any of these secret warps? I have specifically omitted
any specific description of the game so that those who have never played
can see it for themselves (plus it is difficult to describe.) For this reason,
to avoid spoiling the game for uninitiated players, I suggest that you
mail responses to me, rather than posting to the net.
