How many people are POed that Star Trek is being re invented? Abrams seem determined to change the whole history of the show. No doubt the show had to be modernized, but my goodness, the show is no longer true to form. in the Next movie-Admiral Pike? Wasn't he Captain with a different crew in "the Menagerie?"
Wasn't Kirk a LT once? How does anyone graduate a Cadet and instantly become captain? Even during Enterprise the Show had been bastardized. I wonder if a letter writing campaign will work.

Why?!? Why does a show "have to be modernised"??

If it's not longer "good enough" for the morons in management to stuff
more money in their own greedy pockets, then they should simply leave it
to the fans and simply move on to their next NEW toy on the block.
Everything dies eventually, and that includes TV shows.

Nope. The morons in charge aren't even remotely interested in what the
fans want - they never have been. The infestation lazy, talentless,
over-egoed hacks in Holyweird these days will continue to butcher other
people's old work as long as dumbass idiots continue to watch the garbage
blindly believing it's the same thing. :-(
