I remember when I watched the first episode of KOR on
VCR tape rented. I did not think much of it but returned after
a while for my completist drive. I ended up buying the full
boxed set from AnimEgo. I got to read the manga script on
line and later the whole manga which is more aimed at the
cohesiveness while the Christmas episodes of the manga sort
of destroy that cohesiveness. But also the treatment of
Hikaru's reaction is better in the manga than the TV anime.
On the other hand the movie covering the same is very good.
