Just 73 days after opening, Kimetsu no Yaiba broke the top
box offfice record that Sen to Chiro kept for 20 years.
Despite current difficult circumstances, 24 million people
visited theatres to enjoy the movie. This accomplishment
is just amazing. Sadly though, I'm not brave enough to go
to a crowded theatre for the danger of infection, and I
haven't seen the movie yet.
Due to a gevernment's poor plan to recover the economy,
the number of daily cases increased rapidly. While a new
restriction order has been issued, I'm not sure it can
suppress the pandemic effectively.
Anyway, new anime TV season has begun.

This is the list of my ratings to new shows based on every
first episode. Most of proper nouns in this list are my
guess instead of official ones.
Ratings may vary episode by episode.
The number isn't the rank but only a sequence for
convenience. Sorted by stars.

1) Kemono Jihen (Asia-do): ***, ad+
Inugami, consultant of mysterious case, visits a local
hotel to fulfill the owner's request to get rid of monsters
that killed her livestock. He finds a discriminated boy
who doesn't go to school but cultivates field. Inugami
notices that the boy is half-monster. The boy tells him
that his real name is Kabane and abandoned by her mother.
The owner's real request is to kill Kabane. Inugami shoots
him and deceives the owner by showing his body. Afterwords,
Kabane is back to life, Inugami takes him back to Tokyo and
makes him his assistant.
2) SK8 (Bones): **, a+dh
Reki's dream is to become the top skateboarder. He fights
against a punk skateboarder Shadow but loses the race.
Reki works for a skateboard shop part time and Langa who
is a tranferred student from Canada joins him. They take
a delivery job of a skateboard to a customer at the race
site in an abandoned mine hill, but Reki mistakenly brings
his prototype instead. Langa takes the customer's part and
skates Reki's prototype in the race. This is the first time
for Langa to skate a skateboard. By his excellent skill
of snowboard, however, he wins the race.
3) Mushoku Tensei (Bind): **, adh
A NEET guy is hit by a track and reincanates as Ludy in a
world where magic is real. When he is still a kid he shows
excellent skill of magic. His mother recruits a young witch
as his teacher. While she is careless and doesn't look
skillful, he decides to learn more magic in orde to make
his new life valuable.
4) Kaibyoui Ramune (Platinum Vision): **, dhw
Mysterious beings Kai may make one who has strong stress
and/or obsession sick for Kai syndrome. Kaibyoui is a doctor
to cure patients of the disease. Koto, a child actress,
suffers from dropping mayonnaise from eyes when she cries.
She is famous for her action of crying. She can't act anymore
but her mother insists on her to keep acting. Ramune concludes
that mother's greed for money overworks her. He gives Koto
medicine that turns mother's expensive properties into ash.
5) Horimiya (Clover Works): *, ah
Hori is a bright and very popular girl in the class but she
doesn't go and play together with class mates after school
because she has housework to do, picks her brother Souta up at
a nursery and cooks dinner for her mother who works till late.
One day, Souta falls down and gets a nosebleed. A boy takes
Souta to Hori's home. The boy looks a punk. She can't recognize
him, but he is her class mate Miyamura who looks a dark, quiet
and ordinary boy in the class. As Hori is amazed by his casual
style, so is Miyamura by her housework. Then she invites him
her home as a friend.
6) Kumo desuga, nanika? (Mille Pensée): *, ah
One day in a school, the class is trapped in another world and
students turn to various characters. For example, noblemen and
elves in a ballroom, spiders in a dungeon etc. In case of "me",
she finds herself being a funny spider of an RPG. Before then,
she stayed in her room and just kept playing games other than
going to school. So, she is good in games and pretends to play
a dungeon RPG game this time.
7) Back Arrow (Studio Voln): *, ah
A shooting container drops at the border of Lute republic and
Rekka empire. Armies of both sides scramble for the gift. Another
container drops to a farming country Iki. A naked boy comes out
from the container. His name is Back Arrow and came beyond The
Wall that is believed as the end of the world. When a big mecha
soldier comes from the empire to take the container, he uses a
bind-upper to transform to a big mecha and drives back the enemy.
8) Levius (Polygon Pictures): *, am
Levius is a rookie boxer of machine boxing in which a boxer has
robotic arms and metal protectors. But he keeps his left arm
natural and sticks to southpaw fighting style that his trainer
tries to change because it's fatally dangerous for him. It seems
that Levius has a trauma of a catastrophic event which put his
mother into comma. His fighting style may be a revenge for it.
9) Tatoeba Dungeon mae no Mura no Shounen ga... (LIDEN FILMS) *, h
Lloyd wants to be a soldier and visits Mary, the witch of eastside,
to stay her home during the test. She has to accept him because
it's her mentor's request. He is actually very strong but he
doesn't think he is. At the test site, he saves Belt-princess
from a huge grasshopper's attack and his power is so strong as
it upsets even examiners. But he failes to pass the test.
10) Urasekai Picnic (LIDEN FILMS+Felix Film): *, d
As Sorawo is about to die in a pond, a long hair girl Toriko comes
to save her by throwing a brick of salt to a monster Kunekune. The
monster disappeares leaving a mirror cube. They returns to their
world through a hidden door. Another day, Toriko meets Sorawo in
the cafeteria of her school to discuss to go another world to get
mirror cubes. They come in the elevater of a bookshop and push the
floor buttons in a certain sequence. Then the door opens to
another world.
11) Oredake haireru Kakushi Dungeon (Okurutonoboru): h
Noru is a son of a lower class nobleman. His job at public library
is stolen by a higher class nobelman. Noru has the skill of great
sage and takes the entrance test of the Hero Academy. He consults
the sage, goes to a hidden dungeon and finds Olivia who was trapped
by chains 200 years ago. She gives him some skills and he uses them
to get the skull of Dead Ripper. He passes the test by the skull.
Problem is when he consumes LP to use a given skill, he needs to
satisfy desire in order to recharge LP. And one who satisfies his
desire is his childhood friend pretty Emma.
12) Preita no Kizu (GoHands): a
Akatsuka district is a lawless region that the country gave up
to govern. It's a slam where criminals, hermits and poor people
gather. A mafia brings weapons into the region to rule. But
there is a hero Eiji and his team to protect the residents.
In a battle, Yamato who respects Eiji gets shut by a gang to
protect him. Eiji passes his magical power Cerberus to Yamato
to save him. At the end, Eiji dies and Yamato takes over his role.
13) 2. 43 Seiin Koukou Vollyball Club (david Prod.): a
It pleases Yuni that his old friend Chika returns to his hometown
and joins to the highschool's vollyball club of which Yuni is a
member. But Yuni is pazzled by Chika's unfriendly attitude. Chika
has a trauma. He was called a genius setter in his previous school,
but his strict attitude made his teammate try to suicide and he
was suspended to play in the highchool.
14) Jaku Chara Tomozaki-kun (Project No.9): h
Fumiya is the champion of Attack Families online game. Other than
that he is just mediocre. One day, a player NONAME challenges
Fumiya aka nanashi in the game. NONAME shows a good fight but
loses the game and invites nanashi to meet in person. At the
rendez-vous, Fumiya gets to know that NONAME is his classmate Aoi
who is bright and pretty. She is disappointed by Fumiya and tells
him that the real life is also a complex game nanashi can win.
And she begins to give him lessons how to win his life game.
15) IDOLY PRIDE (Lerche):
Five years ago, Mana was spotted by a scout and she asked her
classmate Makino if he thought she could be an idol singer.
He answered yes. She passed the test of an idol training program
and became a professional. After gradiated from the highschool,
Makino became the manager of Mana. She advanced to the final of
Venus Grand Prix. In the day of the final, though, Mana died by
a car accident. Mana's ghost comes to meet Makino and encourages
him to realize a top idol group.
16) Skateleading Stars (J.C. Staff):
After Kensei lost the highschool skating championship, he quits
skating. His rival Leo who won the competition turns a star of
skateleading. One day, Leo's stepbrother asks Kensei to join
the highschool's skateleading club to defeat Leo.
17) Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi (T.N.K):
In his past existence, Keyal was a healer and princess Flare
treated him like a dog. His grudge against the bitch made him
beat Satan, took its philopher's stone and reset the world to
the time before he met the princess in order to get back at her.
18) EX-ARM (Visual Flight):
Natsume is a shy boy. His brother is an android engineer. When
Natsume tries to help a girl surrounded by gangs, he gets hit by
a car. Ten years later, two police women conficate an EX-ARM's
trunk from a criminal sydicate. EX-ARM is a powerful armor but
what they find in it is a metalic ball instead. They activate the
ball and Natsume's brain enclosed in the ball is awakened.
19) Hortensia SAGA (LIDEN FILMS):
Monsters suddenly appeare in Hortansia and the king is killed by
a werewolf. At the same time, an alliance country Cameria rebels
against Hortensia. Fernando fights against the werewolf to save
the princess and dies. His son Alfred is told about father's
fate and receives his sword. Princess Mariel hides her identity
and lives Fernando's manor house with Arfred as his retainer.
They need to become strong enough to save their country.
20) Tenchi Souzou Design-bu (ASAHI Prod.):
When the Creator designs creatures, he outsources the work to
a studio where angels discuss its design to adjust purpose, size
and movement. Then they make an experimental product to check
its feasibility. Sometimes, it looks very strange.
21) Soukou-musume Senki (A-CAT):
Mana and Riko live in Tokorozawa. They visit Tokyo to see an
anime goods event. When Mana touches a model of giant mecha,
she falls into another world where is a battle ground against
mecha monsters Mimesis. Mecha armour attaches her and she begins
to fight to save Riko.
22) WAVE!! (Asahi Prod.):
Durling a walk with dog along the beach, Masaki sees a brilliant
surfer. Masaki's class accepts a transferred student Sho and
Masaki notices that the student is the surfer. Masaki don't swim
nor surf but Sho's performance was so impressive and he begins
to surf with Sho.
23) Ai * Chu [s](Lay-duce):
In a pop music school, male vocal teams are given a test in which
they have to make and sell out 3,000 original CDs.
