I found about 10 web sites and blogs still active on A2HQ.com, the free web
hosting and blog service that I started for Apple II users in fall 2012. I
emailed these owners to let them know that I'm going to close A2HQ.com later
this year, and all sites will go offline.

I'm posting the announcement here for anyone else who didn't get an email.

Are you going to archive the Marina IP Stack site somewhere else?

Yes, that site will move to http://macgui.com/marina/

I moved the Marina web site to the URL given above. I took the WordPress
database offline after I made a backup copy. Static web sites and FTP access
will be removed next. I will retain offline backups of it all.

If I may ask, why are you closing the site? The reason I ask is that if it is a hosting issue, I can easily host it on my dedicated server and look after it (I work in IT).

Cutting costs. The A2HQ.com domain name costs $x per year, and I've canceled
my lease on it. It's set to expire later this summer.
