And of course, this year, on December 10th and 20th, we can look forwards to
the amazing PiDP-10 coming our way from Obsolescence Guaranteed...

I'm slowly making my way though some of the Computerphile videos on
youtube (and some of the video's on their sister channels too) and I
watched one a couple of weeks ago on the PiDP-11. It made me want to get
one and put it together. After that I looked at the PiDP-8. Reading this
today has me looking at the PiDP-10. :-)
I feel a need to acquire all of these. I'm not sure that I'd get much
use out of them, or even have much time for them, but I want them
anyway. :-)
Too many interesting things and too little time.
It makes me realize that years ago I had fewer demands on my time and
thus what limited my exposure to some of this older tech was a lack of
money. Now I can afford to buy at least replicas of many things and what
I can't afford is all the time to learn and use them.
I suppose that there were also somewhat fewer things like these 40 years
ago and now I have the things from 40 years ago and everything since
then to be interested in as well.

Awesome Youtube channel. They sometimes also have "celebrities"
there. Brian Kernighan was there, talking about C and UNIX. And Steve
Furber, one of the designers of the ARM processor.
Their sister channel Numberphile has some episodes hosted by Clifford
Stoll. He appears as "crazy" as he did in the 80s. I love him. :-)
But since both channels focus a lot on the British computer history I'm
not sure if many people from other countries like it. I, not from the UK, do!
