I’m trying to upgrade my Quadra 630 with a ppc motherboard from the 6300 series line, 100 or 120 MHz only. I’m familiar with the criticisms of this line... the purpose besides the speed bump is to stand in for my ailing PowerBook 1400 (display is going, and my doctors are discouraging laptop use anyway). I’ve already tried EBay and received a couple damaged not working and discouraged but I’ve already set up for some support RAM etc. anybody have one?

Someone asked me, “why not the 160 MHz board” and my response was

“ The 6360 / 160 is a bottom up redesign similar to 6400 or PowerBook 3400 with a PCI bus and most parts not same type. Although it fits the case and wiring harness they also recommend the power supply needs to be upgraded along with the motherboard

If you have 6360 motherboard and power supply and (at least 64MB) RAM and Cache, that’s what I would need to do the upgrade. [ also assuming PCI riser angle changer needed to install Ethernet or comm slot Ethernet card ]

Where as for the other earlier design I have compatible all those other parts and only need the motherboard “
