I was wondering if anybody ever thought of trying to build an X windows server for an 8mb IIgs? Run the applications on a fast new X client, then the IIGs just has to display the output and send back mouse clicks and keyboard. Thin Client, anyone?
Quarterdeck did this for 386/486 machines with Desqview X back in the 80's, and it did work. Might be easier if the client was running on A/UX, say an AWS95.
