Well, here it is <current year> and things are a little different for many
people as I write this.

For myself, I'm not out riding all over the continent on my motorcycle so
I've had some time to catch up on things.

A little over three years ago Glenn Holmer posted a note on this list
looking for another source for a disk from Gaelyne Gasson's geoManiacs
Collection since the copy on the geoSpecific GEOS PD Shareware CD was
corrupt. I checked it and sure enough there were some corrupt files when
the D64 image was extracted, I tried to recreate the D64 at the time and
had no end of problems. I set this aside while I went out and rode my
motorcycle.

Fast forward to 2020 and I had a little time on my hands and dug out the
original disk and it was fine. I created a new D64. Copied it back and
forth to my PC. Extracted it, ran SuperValidate, and it was fine.

I contacted Glenn Holmer, who offers the geoSpecific GEOS PD Shareware CD
content for free download on his LyonLabs web site, and he has replaced the
file on the web so people can download the D64 to have a clean version of
it. I will not be updating the CD even though at one time I was in the
process of making a new version.

If you are interested, the corrupt file appeared to be ROTPAGES. according
to SuperValidate. That file is also on the GeoVision 2A, geoMetrix
Supplementary 1A, and Dick Estel FRDUtilA disks. But now the geoManiacs
Applications 17 Disk (geoman9a.d64) has been fixed and Glenn has swapped
the new version for the old on his site. I've downloaded it, unpacked it,
run SuperValidate on it, and it all seems to check out fine.

If you want to get this disk image, or any of the other files on the
geoSpecific GEOS PD Shareware CD, you can find it along with loads of other
great GEOS info on Glenn's site:

enGEOy!

Oh, I didn't think of that! I updated the archive copies, which are now
available as either a tarball or a ZIP file (each about 46M).

Oh, nice work Glenn. I hadn't thought about you doing that but that is a
good solution.

Thanks!

Bruce

The file only seemed to be corrupt on the d64 of the geomaniacs disk. I
wasn't saying it was corrupt on these other disks. Just that it was
available on these other disks.
Sorry for any confusion
