At least, that is all we can do right now. How soon or whatever it takes to
get Pyrofer to have more of the drop in replacement for the 5717
manufactured and in-stock, I don't know but it might be worth actually
contacting him and if there is enough of an interest, it could be made but
I don't think he is stocking up a whole lot unless there is a demand to
have a batch made.

We basically need this chip:

Then need the PCB with the DIP headers that matches the 5717 pin pitch. The
PIC chip, I think would need to be 'programmed' somehow. It would be
interesting to get the info on what is needed to produce the product from
Pyrofer.
