> Chapter 6: Ironhide and Roxanne
>
> Roxanne was walking around the hangar, she was just wondering
> around looking in awe at how huge this place was,
KEVIN: An unknown, unguarded civilian just wandering around a
classified military installation. Riiiiight.
> and wondering where they could be moving to. She spotted Will
> wandering around in circles and watched him for a moment.
>
> "Yer gonna make yerself dizzy by doin' tha'" she said.
MIKE: [Will] That's kind of the idea, since we don't have any booze.
> Will stopped wandering around and looked at the vampire. He smiled
> and then went back to chewing his thumbnail. Roxanne inhaled and
> rolled her eyes.
>
> "Yer bleedin'" she stated.
>
> Will took his thumb out of his mouth and looked at his nail.
> Indeed, he was bleeding.
BILL: "Ah, blood loss. That explains it," said Will, right before he
passed out.
> He was about to ask Roxanne how she knew that, but then pretended
> to shoot himself in the head.
KEVIN: In fact he actually did. The blood loss made him woozier than
he realized.
> "Thanks. I'll just go put a plaster on this" he said.
MIKE: [Will] Just as soon as I figure out why I used a British slang
term for "band-aid".
> Roxanne rolled her eyes, walked over to him, took his thumb in her
> hand and put it in her mouth. When she brought it out, both could
> see no blood and Roxanne looked at him.
>
> "Vampire spit 'as properties that helps the blood clot. That's why
> we can drink from humans an' not kill 'em" she whispered.
BILL: Note the qualifier "can."
> Will nodded and looked at his thumb again. True to her word, the
> little cut on the side of his thmb had stopped bleeding and looked
> like it was beginning to clot.
>
> "Thanks Roxie" he said.
>
> Roxanne nodded, and looked up as Ironhide came out of the med bay.
> He walked straight over to the two of them and came down to their
> level.
>
> "Roxanne, could I have a word?" He asked.
KEVIN: [Roxie] Sure; would you like a noun or a verb? Perhaps a nice
juicy gerund?
MIKE: [Ironhide] Why haven't we squished you already?
> The vampire nodded and Ironhide transformed, before opening his
> door to allow Roxanne to climb in. Once she was in, he closed his
> door and took off out of the hangar.
>
> ******TF******
>
> Once they were far enough from the hangar, Ironhide stopped and
> they sat on a hill overlooking a beautiful scene. They sat in
> silence for a while, until Roxanne broke the silence.
BILL: [Roxie] You know this isn't how "talking" works, right?
> "So what did ye wanna talk about?" She asked.
BILL: [Roxie] See? It's just that easy!
> She felt a tingle over her body and looked around.
>
> "What's that?" She questioned.
MIKE: [Ironhide] Note to self: She's immune to disintegration.
KEVIN: [Roxie] What was that?
MIKE: [Ironhide] Nothing! Nothing!
> Ironhide activated his holoform and looked at her.
>
> "It was a scan..." he said.
>
> Roxanne noticed there was something off about the way he was
> looking at her.
BILL: How can you tell?
> She shrugged and opened the door, getting out and inhaling the air,
> picking up all the different scents. The smell of the water a few
> miles away, the scent of the trees just across from her, the scent
> of the flowers and the chlorophyll in the grass.
>
> "Smells beautiful doesn't it?" Ironhide asked.
MIKE: [Ironhide] No, really; II can't really smell. For all I know
this whole thing smells like sun-brewed vomit.
KEVIN: And thank you for painting that lovely image.
> Roxanne looked at him, he had transformed and was now looking down
> at her. She shrugged and looked ahead.
>
> "I wouldn'eh know" she remarked.
BILL: Either that was a competely useless lie or she can't smell
anything but blood.
MIKE: Maybe compulsive lying is one of her flaws?
> Ironhide huffed and sat down. He wasn't known for his patience in
> such matters like this. But Optimus had asked him to build up to it
> and not be blunt. He was fragged if he knew where to start. He
> wasn't one for small talk, part of him just wanted to ask her out
> right what she was, but the other part of him was telling him to
> obey his leader. He vented.
ALL: [Ironhide] Excuse me! Three-bean energon for lunch.
> "I used ta come ta places like this when I was a wee one. Takin' in
> the scenery. Me mam always thought I was cursed, 'cause I'd run off
> an' stay out fer hours" Roxanne said.
BILL: She didn't say you were cursed, dear. She said "cursedly
stupid."
> Ironhide could have thanked Primus right there and then, at least
> the ice was half way broken now. All he had to do, was keep the
> conversation flowing.
>
> "Are your Parental units still functioning?" He asked.
KEVIN: And it flows right off the edge of the conversatioal world.
> Roxanne looked down and shook her head.
>
> "No...they-they died a long time ago" she said.
MIKE: Just like the plot.
> Ironhide nodded. He knew the loss of someone close to him. Jazz was
> his best friend.
>
> "What were they like?" He asked.
>
> Roxanne chuckled and sat down next to him.
BILL: [Roxie] Well, they were alive, for one thing.
> "Well, me mam was nice. She wasn't nothin' like me dad, she was
> kind, caring and loved me to pieces. Me dad however, was strict,
> rude, arrogant an' absolutely abhored me boyfriend" she said.
KEVIN: Lady, it's been three hundred years! Let it go!
> Ironhide looked down at her and his optics scrutinised her for a
> while.
>
> "What happened to your mate?" He questioned.
>
> Roxanne looked up at him and raised an eyebrow.
MIKE: [Roxie] That's a good question actually...
> "What's with the interrogation...yeh tryin' ta find somethin'
> out?" She replied.
>
> Ironhide looked at her and his optics narrowed a little.
>
> "I was merely asking" he said.
BILL: [Ironhide] And by "asking", I mean "What the hell are you,
lady?"
> Roxanne exhaled with no breath.
KEVIN: That's a damned neat trick.
> "He was...sweet, carin', a little bit of a rebel, but then I've
> always liked bad boys. T-then he did somethin' ta me, an' we parted
> ways" she explained.
MIKE: Translation: He was a hot dullard who turned me into the undead
and I ran off.
> Ironhide could feel that he was getting close to something...just a
> few more questions and he'd have the answer that Prime wanted.
>
> "What did he do?" He enquired.
>
> Roxanne shook her head and looked out to the beautiful scene.
>
> "I don'eh wanna talk 'bout it" she answered.
BILL: Again: Three. Centuries.
> Ironhide mentally slapped himself. He'd upset her, he could see
> that from the tears sliding down her face.
KEVIN: Nice deduction, Sherlock-tron.
> He knew enough about how humans react when upset, from being around
> William, Sarah and Annabelle.
BILL: Which might explain how you get how *normal* humans react so
horribly horribly wrong.
> "My apologies, I did not mean to upset you" he said.
>
> Roxanne smiled up at him and then she felt her jaw ache. She was
> getting hungry.
MIKE: Good God, she has the metabolism of a hummingbird!
> 'Shet' she thought.
KEVIN: Then wondered why she was thinking phonetically.
BILL: Maybe she's just that bad at spelling?
> She looked up at Ironhide and smiled at him, making sure she kept
> her eyes the brilliant blue.
>
> "Can yeh take me to town please?" She asked.
KEVIN: What town? You're on an atoll in the Indian Ocean. There's
the base and the ocean! And they intended it that way!
> Ironhide nodded and transformed. He opened his door and Roxanne got
> in. Ironhide took her to the town and she went into the butchers.
> He didn't see what she ordered, but when she came out, she had a
> brown bag with something in it.
>
> "What is that?" He asked.
>
> Roxanne looked into the bag and smiled.
>
> "Oh it's nothing. Food" she said.
MIKE: [Ironhide] It's placenta, isn't it?
BILL: [Roxie] No, it's not...
MIKE: [Ironhide] Look I know some of you humans have eating practices
that are weird even to other humans. And I'm not going to judge...
BILL: [Roxie] Look, it's blood, okay?
MIKE: [Ironhide] If you're trying to gross me out so I'll stop
asking, blood is a lot less gross than placenta.
BILL: [Roxie] Argh!
> Ironhide huffed and drove them back to the base in Diego Garcia.
>
> ******TF******
>
> Once they got back. Will went over to Ironhide and Roxanne got out.
> Will took one look at Roxanne's eyes and then looked in the bag. He
> nodded and Roxanne ran outside at human speed, before biting the
> top off one of the bags of blood she'd brought and drinking it,
> before doing the same with the others.
KEVIN: I'm not even going to think of the kind of butcher that even
keeps bags of blood around, let alone sells it like that.
MIKE: Maybe he keeps a brisk trade in the Goth Vampire Wannabe
market. On the isolated miltary base...
> Unfortunately, while she was on her third bag. Optimus happened to
> walk out of the base. Quickly, she turned around and hid the other,
> empty bags of blood. Along with the three other bags she had in the
> brown paper bag.
BILL: Those bags must've been the size of a Capri Sun.
> "Hello Roxanne" he said.
>
> Roxanne swallowed.
>
> "Hey Optimus" she said.
>
> She kept her back to him, and herself hunched over so that he
> couldn't peep down on her and see what she had in her hand.
MIKE: Which wouldn't seem suspicious AT ALL.
> The ache in her jaw was still there, animal blood didn't fill her
> up, but being on her third bag, she was beginning to feel a little
> better, but not much. She groaned in pain, wishing Optimus would go
> away.
BILL: I see we're following the Twilight method of "Making up the
rules as we go along."
> "Are you in pain Roxanne?" Optimus enquired.
>
> Roxanne shook her head.
>
> "No...I'm fine" she lied.
KEVIN: How has this woman survived three centuries being that bad at
lying?
> 'Leave...please leave? I beg yeh, leave' she thought.
>
> Them being robotic organisms, she couldn't compell them. So she
> couldn't make Optimus forget what he saw, if he saw anything. She
> heard him inhaling and lowered her head.
>
> "Roxanne, are you bleeding?" He questioned.
>
> This was getting annoying. She growled, a deep feral growl that had
> Optimus taking a step back, and looking at her, strangely.
MIKE: This must be like watching a Corgi growl like a wolf.
> "Roxanne?" He asked.
>
> She growled again, he was interrupting her meal, and she was
> getting pissy about it.
>
> "Leave" she commanded.
>
> She knew it would do no good, but she didn't care.
>
> "Leave NOW!" She shouted.
BILL: At which point, Optimus pinned her to the floor and told her to
start talking or he'd blast her into a scorch mark, right?
> This time Will came out of the base and told Optimus a little lie,
> saying Ratchet wanted him for something, Roxanne shot around at his
> voice and looked at him, a feral glint in her eyes.
KEVIN: Looking at him the same way a Biggest Loser contestant looks
at a red velvet cake.
> Will knew to leave her alone when feeding, and as much as he didn't
> want to, he did what she'd told him to do, if she was ever like
> this. He backed away, slowly, keeping his head low, in a sign of
> submission, and when he reached the entrance to the base he walked
> inside.
MIKE: And, having been exposed to Roxanne's Aura of Smooth (TM),
Optimus noticed none of this.
> Roxanne turned back to her meal, and sucked the life out of the
> bag she was holding, before doing the same to the other three bags.
>
> ******TF******
>
> A few hours later, Roxanne was still sat outside the base. Her
> hunger sated for now. The pig blood didn't fill her up like human
> blood did, but it was close enough that it filled her enough.
BILL: So pig's blood is the vampire equivalent to ramen noodles?
> Will came back out of the base, and approached her carefully,
> warily.
KEVIN: Serioiusly; why did you bring this dangerous, increasingly
unstable woman to an isolated military base with no real plan to keep
her under control?
MIKE: Because Vampire/Cybertronian love conquers all? Maybe? I...
got nothin.
> "You alright now?" He asked.
>
> Roxanne looked up at him and nodded.
>
> "I'm sorry for earlier" she replied.
>
> He smiled and sat down next to him.
>
> "It's alright. You warned me that if you're ever interrupted while
> feeding you can get like that. Optimus' pretty shaken" he
> explained.
BILL: [Will] He thought you were having an episode. I had to talk
him out of putting you down.
> Roxanne rolled her eyes.
>
> "He's the one who interrupted me" she muttered.
KEVIN: Look, you sulky little bint; be glad he didn't smoke your
Sueish ass like you've given you given him no reason not to.
> Will sighed and put his hand on Roxanne's cold one. Before bringing
> it to his head. She looked at him oddly and he smiled.
>
> "You're cool, I'm hot. I'm just cooling myself down" he explained.
>
> Roxanne chuckled
MIKE: With the patient laugh of someone who, for the hundreth time,
is told a never-funny joke by the same person.
> and let him have his moment to cool off, before there was the sound
> of hissing and feet hitting the ground.
>
> "You can tell him...just make sure I'm not around when you do it"
> she remarked.
BILL: [Roxie] In fact, I'm not sure why you haven't told him already.
For that matter, are y'ever gonna tell me what this "war" is and how
I can help?
KEVIN: [Will] I'll tell as soon as HEY A DISTRACTION!
> Will nodded and got up. He held his hand out to her and she took
> it, getting up and then lifting up his cuff, looking at the
> puncture marks.
>
> "Healing well" she said.
>
> He smiled and walked inside. Roxanne heard him asking Optimus to go
> talk, and she began to wander outside.
>
> ******TF******
MIKE: Well, that was time well spent!
> Johnny walked around outside. There had been no sign of Roxanne in
> the last few days. No mysterious people going into hospital with
> animal bites, no mysterious blood drained bodies.
>
> "The bitch...she's fucking up and left. I swear on my life Roxanne
> Jones...I will find you, and I will kill you" he said.
BILL: Oh yeah, the fangbanger. Forgot about him.
KEVIN: Why can't this fic be about him?
MIKE: At least we'd get amusing strings of profanity out of it.
> ******TF******

> Vampyrex1
BILL: Lady; you couldn't print my opinion of this pile in Hustler.
MIKE: That's a little strong, Bill.
BILL: Well something about this thing should be!
> Chapter 7: Roxanne's a...what?
ALL: TIN ROOF! RUSTED!
> Once Roxanne had calmed herself down, Will went into the hangar and
> walked up to Optimus. After getting Roxanne's approval for telling
> the big guy who and what she was, he had been working on the kind
> of speech that he would say to the big blue and red bot.
MIKE: One that wouldn't get him an instant Section 8 discharge.
> He inhaled deeply and walked up to the semi truck.
>
> "Optimus, we need to talk" he said.
BILL: [Optimus] If this is about me wetting myself in fear of
Roxanne... I honestly have no idea why that happened. Or how,
really.
> The passanger's door opened and Will climbed in before Optimus
> began to drive out of the hangar and quite a way away from the
> base. When the truck stopped, Will took another deep breath and let
> it out slowly.
KEVIN: And the reason you couldn't just tell Optimus as soon as you
climbed in?
MIKE: Proper scene building takes time... Time this fic takes
establishing how special Roxie is.
> "What do you want to know about Roxie?" He asked.
>
> Optimus' holographic self appeared in the drivers seat and looked
> at the human.
>
> "All of what you know about her" he replied.
>
> Will chuckled nervously and looked down to his hands.
>
> "Roxie was born in Scotland in the year 1669; her full name is
> Roxanne Jones she was, or rather is the daughter of Lord Alexander
> Jones and Lady Abigail Jones. When she was twenty, she met this
> guy, whos name was James,
BILL: [Optimus] I instantly regret asking.
> but this James guy, wasn't human. He was what is known as a
> Vampire. You can look it up, because there are myths, people didn't
> believe in Vampires, and some people still don't, but there are
> people who do, which means there's loads of internet things about
> Vampires. So, when James asked for Roxie's hand in marriage, Lord
> Alexander said no and Roxanne ran away from her house and met up
> with James. That was when she found out he was a vampire" Will
> explained.
KEVIN: [Optimus] That sounds like bad goth fanfiction.
MIKE: [Will] How do you know about...
KEVIN: [Optimus] Look - can't a bot have hobbies?
> Optimus did look up the definition of vampire and his human eyes
> opened wide.
>
> "A vampire is a reanimated corpse which reawakens during the night
> to drink the blood of the living. Is that correct?" He asked.
KEVIN: Well, that's your classic vamp. Now factor in your Nosferatu,
your Twilight sparklepires, your Thirty Days of Night nocturnal shark
people and the hundred of variations on the classic...
MIKE: I think we get the picture.
> Will nodded.
>
> "Yeah. So, this James guy, he turned her..." Will answered.
>
> "Into a vampire?" Optimus asked.
>
> Will nodded again.
>
> "Into a vampire; and Roxanne tried her best to deny her 'nature',
> but she found that she couldn't. In the end, she found that she
> could feed from humans without killing them, and she could make
> them forget that it had ever happened.
BILL: Though that "killing them" thing seems to be strictly optional
for her.
> She was also found by this druid woman, who gave her that ring on
> her right hand. I don't know what the latin words on the ring mean,
> but I'm sure that you would be able to translate it, as Roxie can.
> But I assure you Optimus, she doesn't like what she is, and she
> tries to go against her nature whenever she can" Will responded.
>
> Optimus looked up the definition of druid and nodded.
MIKE: [Optimus] You people have no idea what a druid is, do you?
> "I understand William; you trust her?" He asked.
>
> Will nodded and Optimus nodded.
BILL: [Optimus] You really are just a bag of hammers, aren't you?
> "If you trust her William, I will try and trust her too.
KEVIN: To be fair: being a horrible judge of character is right in
character for Optimus.
> However, I cannot make my men trust her as you do. I am sure you
> understand the fact that, even though she does go against her
> nature, she is still a possible threat to our other human allies"
> he explained.
MIKE: As Optimus registers a 7.9 on the "Well Duh" scale.
> Will nodded and sighed.
>
> "I do understand. But you must believe me when I say, Roxanne won't
> kill anyone. In fact, I'm the only one who will allow her to feed
> from me, because I trust her that much" he said.
BILL: You're the only one who'll allow her because you're the only
one with blood who actually knows about her and can consent, you
knob.
> Optimus nodded too.
>
> "May I ask why you trust her so much?" He asked.
ALL: THANK YOU!
KEVIN: I wouldn't get our hopes up, guys. Recall what the
explanations have been like so far.
MIKE: True, but credit where credit is do for at least addressing the
elephant in the room.
> Will sighed again and looked up into the sky; he then got out and
> walked out into the sunshine, not bothering to turn around when he
> heard Optimus transforming.
>
> "When I was a little boy, I ran away from home because my mother
> and father were arguing about something, and I didn't like the
> shouting. I was curled up on the corner of a street, my knees were
> cut and bleeding from where I had been running and had fallen over.
> Roxanne found me; at the time, I didn't know what she was, and I
> didn't notice that she was inhaling deeply. She took me home, and
> my mum was so happy..." Will began.
BILL: Previously on "Unbreak My Spark."
> Optimus looked down at the human and nodded.
MIKE: [Optimus] Didn't get a word of that past "boy", but go on.
> "As I was growing up, Roxie became a good friend of the family, and
> I discovered her feeding from a person one night and found out that
> she was a vampire. She told me, that the night she found me, she
> wanted to kill me, because I was bleeding. But she didn't, she
> could have killed me Optimus, she is stronger than any human,
> faster, has better sight, hearing and smell and she could have
> killed me at the drop of a hat, but she didn't. And because of
> that, I'd trust her with my life" Will finished.
>
> Optimus nodded;
KEVIN: [Optimus] He's as dumb as I feared.
> it was a very good reason for William to trust Roxanne.
MIKE: "If she hasn't killed me by now, she's never going to" is *a*
reason for Will. It is not a reason for ANY FRIGGIN BODY ELSE EVER!
> But then Optimus also knew, that just because she didn't kill
> William, it doesn't mean that she wouldn't kill another human in
> the base. Optimus vented.
BILL: But you're gonna leave her right where she is, anyway.
> "I stand by what I said William. If you trust her, then I will try
> my best to do so too. But I cannot make my men trust her if they do
> not wish to, I am sure you understand that" he said.
KEVIN: Just in case you weren't paying attention two paragraphs ago.
> Will nodded again.
>
> "I do; I only ask that you give her a chance Optimus. She could be
> a valuable ally in this war" He said.
MIKE: Much in the same way a hungry pit bull could be an ally against
an army of tanks.
> Optimus nodded and then Will turned back to him.
>
> "Shall we go back?" He asked.
>
> Optimus nodded again and then transformed.
MIKE: So an entire chapter over what could've been covered by the
words "after Will told Optimus everything?"
> ******TF******
>
> A/N: I'm soooo sorry that I haven't updated in so long. I've just
> been soooo busy. I hope you all enjoy this, and I'd like to point
> something out to a Mr Ian Reid; who said this in a review.
KEVIN: This should end well.
> 'Oh geez...
> Ok. From the summary alone, this story is a complete disaster. A
> day-walking vampire Mary-sue does not make for a good protagonist
> IN A TRANSFORMERS STORY. It's amazing your Sue doesn't sparkle.'
BILL: "Complete disaster's" a bit too strong, but othwerwise... Yeah,
pretty much.
> I would like to say to you...It's your opinion mate.
MIKE: [The Dude] That's, like, your opinion, man.
> I don't really care. If you'd actually read the story, you'd find,
> that she has a RING on her right ring finger, that protects her
> from the sunlight.
KEVIN: Which makes her a daywalker as long as she has it. So...?
> Now, if she were to take that ring off...she would burn like a
> piece of paper.
KEVIN: But, again, she hasn't, so "daywalker."
> Roxanne can be affected by holy water, a cross that has been
> blessed by a priest and she can still be staked through the heart
> and that will turn her to dust.
BILL: Still a daywalking vampire in a Transformers story. No real
getting around that one.
> She does not sparkle, because she is NOT like the fake vampires
> from twilight.
MIKE: As opposed to the "real" vampires in, say, True Blood?
Vamprire Diaries?
> In actuality, Roxanne does NOT use venom to change her victims
> into vampires, SHE was not changed by venom, she was changed by a
> little thing called BLOOD EXCHANGE. I'm sure you know how that
> goes, and if not, allow me to give you a little lesson in Vampire
> conception.
MIKE: [Heckler] Stop talking!
BILL: [Heckler] We still don't care!
KEVIN:[Heckler] Bring back the angry fangbanger!
> One vampire will drink from a human, and take enough blood as to
> leave a little bit in the human body. The vampire who was drinking
> from the human, will then force feed the human his/her blood, which
> will change the human into a vampire.
MIKE: So that quasi-snowballing scene in Chapter 3 was the vampire
equivelent to a mama bird reguritating food for her babies. Somehow
even more disturbing the second time around.
> So, now that I have utterly embarrassed you,
BILL: I don't think Mr. Ian's the one being embarassed here.
> I'm now going to tell you another little thing you may wish to
> keep in mind when reading these kind or stories.
KEVIN: If it's not explaining the whole "can eat real food but still
gets ravenous for blood" thing, you can skip it.
> Don't judge a book by its cover. Or in this case, if you thought
> my story was a disaster WHY IN THE FLUUMIN' WORLD DID YOU READ THE
> DAMNED THING?
MIKE: Who says he read past the description?
> Now I have that out of my system; I'd like to thank:

BILL: It was short, so there's that.
MIKE: And speaking of "that", that's that for this riffing of
"Unbreak My Spark". For Kevin Murphy...
KEVIN: Ooh, I forgot to do me own Scottish Accent!
MIKE: And Bill Corbett...
BILL: I'm an asset in your war against whatever!
MIKE: I'm Mike Nelson saying, goodbye from Rifftrax! Take us out,
Disembaudio!
DISEMBAUDIO: [Singing] Unbreak my spark, Autobot me again
Undo this hurt in my brain, when you wrote all these words
