Working in Netatalk setting up shared folders I am not yet understanding the Prodos and ea:ad options.

I have the Volume /srv/A2SERVER/A2FILES that is preset with options:prodos,ea:ad

I have two folder I created listed as volumes.

/srv/A2SERVER/Applications

/srv/A2SERVER/Documents

Would the Applications folder also have to have options set to ProDOS and ea:ad where applications would have attributes and need to be stored in an apple double directory?

How about the Documents folder? I would think it would also need options set to prodos and ea:au as documents could be text or some version of rich text having attributes.

So. Is the rule of thumb using A2Server and there for Netatalk that any share / folder needs to have the options always set to prodos and ea:au for any and all Apple2 shares regardless of the types of files stored in that share?
