Chuck Peddle the designer of the 6502 microprocessor and Commodore PET passed away on Dec. 15. Another great man gone. You'll be missed, Chuck!

Very sorry to hear this. This person has had a massive influence on my life
and I didn’t even know him personally. The creation of the 6502 directly
lead to the home computing boom, and the early micro scene was essentially
conjured from thin air between 6502 and Zilog’s Z80.

I loves it. Went into computing as a career and here I am all these years
later. Thanks Chuck.

Very sorry to hear about this. Apart from his technical
accomplishments, I got the impression that he was a nice guy. He was
always happy to speak at length about his role in the microcomputer
industry for historians and tech writers.

Regards,
Tristan
