I just installed 6.0.4 and I must have selected/config'd something I shouldn't have....
Now while its booting it starts to look for AFP Servers. (I don't have any and never meant to enable this - whatever "this" is:) There is some kind of bug because it gets to the end of searching and then says
"No servers were found. Press Return to try again."
"Cancel: Esc" "OK:<Return?"
Pressing Return OR Escape just causes this cycle to repeat... no way out.
Is there a way out? And how can I fix this -- is there a CDEV or some other file I can rename/move?
THANKS!

Insert the installer disk for 6.0.4. Scroll down the list of options till you get to Network/Appleshare select and then click remove or delete not install.
Wait for the installer to remove the software, quit and restart.
That should remove the AFP software.

Well it turns out that AppleShare itself is not the problem (which is good, because the whole reason I wanted to reinstall GS/OS was to get AppleTalk file sharing working between my IIGS and Mac). I did a minimal install and installed AppleShare as the only network option, and now it works just fine.
