I would like to collect information on 48K memory boards for the Atari 400.
If you have first-hand experience with one (e.g. own one and have used it
enough to know how well it works) please mail me your comments on how well
the board works, quality of parts, manufacturer, and price and if there is
sufficient response, I will post a summary. If you obtained a bare board
and built it yourself, your comments would also be of interest. I fit in
the latter category - I got a 48K/52K bare board from Tiny Tek in Texas,
built it carefully using mil-spec components, and it didn't work properly
at all. It is now somewhere between here and Texas. Apparently the 400 is
very sensitive to the brand of 64K dram you use, with their board anyway.
I've seen boards in local stores from a Canadian company, Inhome Software,
that seem to work fine. Thnx in advnx.
