Posted last night, here is the first from August 10-11 Commodore Vegas Expo v15. Premiering at the show, it is long-lost video from 2001 of engineer Jeri Ellsworth talking about the CommodoreOne and scener Peter Hanson talking about the European C= scene, especially about the Plus/4. It was filmed at an UPCHUG (University Place Commodore Home User Group) meeting in the public library in Tacoma, Washington.

Another long-lost video released at the August 10-11 Commodore Vegas Expo. It is scener Peter Hanson visiting Amiga, Inc. headquarters back in 2001. Just a few minutes long, this video also has the late Gary Peake and in the distance, the Amiga bus!

Whoops! I inadvertently figured that video was from CommVEx 2019
without noting it's from 18 years ago. Well I'm sure Jeri has aged
well. Sincerely,

Now we have 2 more videos on-line! Saj Awan had a mini-presentation showing what he had on his exhibit tables -- PETpix 2, Koalamin, and the Incredible Musical Keyboard -- all running on the Commodore 64. Matt Brewster spoke about the MiST FPGA box and showed it running Amiga emulation. See

In 2009, Commodore Business Machines engineer Dave Haynie visited the Commodore Vegas Expo. He came in during the Friday set-up, stayed with us throughout Saturday and Sunday, and as we were taking down the equipment on Sunday night, he gave us an impromptu jamming session on his guitar! Here is video taken of that concert, a video that premiered at this year's CommVEx.

Premiering at the Commodore Vegas Expo v15, this video has the late Jim Scabery detailing what it was like to be a Portland, Oregon Commodore dealer in the 1980's, the heyday of CBM computing! He continued selling Commodore hardware and software up to the time of his passing in 2014.

As this year's Commodore Vegas Expo 2019 was closing down, music enthusiast Jeff Eckmann played around with the SID-like sounds coming out of the Ensoniq SQ-80 keyboard synthesizer. Ensoniq was the company co-founded by Bob Yannes, creator of the SID chip for the Commodore. See the video at

You may not know this - but I already tested
the Koalamin extensively at our Austrian
meeting back in June 2014, right here:
(in the "Videos" section at the end)

http://martinland.mur.at/ctg/#$14

I distilled all the above down to a
short, intense and crazy "Koalaminute":
(for those who only have a minute to spare ;-D)

http://crop.mur.at/test/martinland/commodore/CTG14/ctg14-koa laminute.avi

Actually I am planning to release the final official version
together with malcontent at our upcoming meeting in June!
Hopefully bugfixed and with my updated Koalamintro and
scrolltexts by Bugjam, malcontent and me. Maybe I'll
even try to up the ante regarding the test above.

This will mark our 50th meeting and - at the
same time (!) - my 50th birthday as well.

Ciao,
Martin of Martinland

As you might have guessed by now - plans
have changed. I will keep being 50 for
like 18 months (until X party happens)
and the presentation and celebration
mentioned above will take place in
October or December, depending
on what will happen this
week with our meeting.

Have a better one,
Martinland

READY.
