I had this on another 3.5 drive and decided to see if I could fix it.

I watched a Kfest video on how to do it and so I tried.

Needless to say... it is now a non functional drive.

Looking for someone with the skills to fix it and for a reasonable price.

Anyone?

Leon

I have a 3.5" drive that won't eject manually -- either by pushing the button or jamming a paper clip into the eject hole -- but will eject the disk if you drag it to the trash can in the Finder.

This makes no sense to me. :-|

My ADTPro disk was ejecting when it got stuck half way up so the ejector is trying to eject the disk but it is not high enough to push it out and trying to lift it high enough manually to remove it has not worked.

I was happy to see the release of software to browse and mount disks from Archive.org.

Perhaps that will be my new disk drive. : )

Back in the late 80s or early 90s, I had a 3.5" diskette get stuck. It turned out to be a loose metal slide plate on the diskette getting caught up on the drive door, or something else inside the drive, and not lifting high enough to eject. I threw the diskette away after copying it. I was able to get it out lifting it with a fingernail file, IIRC.
