Japanese animes are popular as never before in the whole world. But
they face a severe challenge at home: Lack of talent.

As the Japanese population gets older in duration, so the working
force do. The result is a lack of young animators in general, and
talented ones in special.

That is one of the reasons, why Hayao Miyazaki (Studio Ghibli) has
come out of retirement.

In additional to that low wages and up to 12 to 18 working hours a day
are other problems. Standardization and less originality is the
result. Besides that less and less animators can draw by hand.

Even famous producers have to work with small teams now.

As result there are a few productions, which have all the money and
workforce, whilst the big lot has not enough of both.

That is a short compilation of what can be read in eastasian
newspapers.
