IIRC, Choplifter outputs sound to cassette out as well as the speaker. Since CASOUT is actually the ROM bank toggle on a 32k ROM IIc this will crash any older software that calls a ROM routine that's in 1 16k ROM bank but not the other. From memory it runs fine on all the 32k ROM original IIcs but fails on the IIc plus. Search the group archive on Google I'm sure it'll turn up the discussion

Yes, the issue was discussed previously. Serpentine does the same, along with some others which I forget repeatedly. My Choplifter (and Serpentine and whatever else) port is patched accordingly.
We didn't patch the disk when cracking with Passport, so the crack (mis)behaves exactly as the original did.

The VBI flag craziness, and now this? The more i learn about the
intricacies of the IIc & IIc+, the less i like them. :(
