The games in the games folder for ][e often come up with file type mismatch errors.
Using CiderPress in Wine or in Virtual PC using XP Mode and the CF card does not show up. I do get the message from OS X that it does not know the os.. I just hit ignore. So it is getting recognized.
I have the utilities on Floppy — just noting.
I have asked my nephew for one of his Win PCs to see if it is a hardware issue due to emulation.
I have the manual printed out and have follow the back up steps to make a bootable floppy but unable to back up partitions or the whole CF card with the recommended software in the Micro drive turbo Wiki.
Any help appreciated.

Having the correct cabling for ADTPro I created all the System 6.0.4 disks and now have a booting Micro Drive Turbo.
Now I am going to try and figure out VDrives via ADTPRo.
It appears I can also back up the GS/OS partition via ADTPRo as well.
Seems I found the correct tool for the job for my use case.
NOTE. It would appear the CF reader is the failure point when in any type of emulation using the Mac.

I use VMWare Fusion and I can use CiderPress to write to partitions on
a CF card. The WINE bottled version of CiderPress does not work however.

If you're going to be doing big transfers, one micro-optimization you
can do is set Blocks-at-Once (on the config screen) to 40.
http://adtpro.com/configserial.html#Blocks_at_Once
I have seen it crash during very long transfers, so do be aware that you
might be doing that transfer more than once. :-)

Have you tried an external USB-connected CF reader/writer?
