Specifically, I'm wondering if DMA is disabled entirely if 8MB of RAM is present, or just disabled for the upper 4MB? That is, if I have 8MB of memory, is DMA still possible in the lower 4MB?

I don't currently have any DMA compatible cards, but I'd like to know how this my affect my options in the future.

Thanks!

It’ll still do DMA in the first 4mb, just won’t do it in the last 4mb. I think they mention that in their specs

Thank you! I suspected, but was unable to confirm that on my own. It's likely I just couldn't find the proper spec. Thanks again!
