The first Disk II card seems to be killed and with the second I only made one test to avoid destroying it also.
What could be the problem?
What should I check first?

Well,
- checked the second Disk II Card in another Apple II - working
- tested another Disk II in the IIplus - also not working.
- Replaced 74LS138 at H2 - no difference.
- tried another Slot - the same
