At one point there was a reward offered to anyone producing an SMB client. I
don't think anyone ever claimed it.

And, if you setup an Appletalk server using a modified netatalk package you
can access files from a Linux machine. There is a turnkey install image for
RaspberryPi available.

What exactly do you want to do? I find FTP, which is well supported on
the IIGS, handles all the file transfers that I have needed.

Well, I have, an existing, windoze, linux job for the most part, and you're right, I could use net2atalk I have used that in the past with an A/talk - Ethernet bridge. I always thought it would be nice to able to mount one of these two, somewhat like a native file system. It was one of the things that put my GS on the back burner so long the fire nearly went out ;)

After posting I eventually found a start by someone on Github I think, but its not close to functional. Looks like it might be one of those things, if you do it yourself you know its done. :)

To be honest, I don't have a real GS here... I've just got to keep my eyes peeled and fingers crossed I come across one in my meanderings.

Regards,
A
