Hi Readers and Typers,
Finally got my hands on a copy and as I promised
Spoor I am writing about it here and in some other places.
Princess Holy Aura is out of Sailor Moon by Lovecraft
and is a ripping good yarn. If it was a manga even I would
read it. I don't much care for this sort of mahou shojo
story. I watched Sailor Noon all the way through all but
the final DVD volumes of the long story so I could say that I
had. After the chibi Moon showed up I got disheartened and
left the rest to those with younger imaginations.
Spoor has made a marvelous fantasy out of disparate
influences. Some will dismiss as it too influenced by Sailor
Moon but the bad guys are out of Lovecraft. Lemurian wizardry
is at the heart of the Apocalypse Maidens of whom the Princess
is the leader.
Remember the resets in Sailor Moon. Won't see that
here.
It all happens in an American city to American girls
of the current generation in a multi-ethnic High School but
it starts with a 30 year old Gaming nerd who has been selling
bagels but has a heroic heart...
I hope someone has bought the movie rights or the
American graphic novel rights. This would made a great
TV animation with an animated movie to bring to a climax.
In the meantime if you can read English read it and it will
definitely be a enjoyable use of time.
Oh and the setup for sequels to the book are part
of the climax of this novel.
