However, I'm looking on my new Apple IIe board and the only clock I see is 14.31863. Not terribly off but definitely not equal.

What was the reasoning behind this difference? Was this just a IIe thing to support the newer graphics over the II and II+?

Thanks

It "should" be 14.31818 but the "Apple II Level 2 Service Manual" has references to both frequencies. Might be why my ][+ is so picky about monitors (the 14.31863 crystal would produce a slightly-off video frequency).
