So I am posting a link to it on all of the A2/Mac community sites that I frequent in hopes that someone will find some useful information on it, and if not, at least I will be collecting my thoughts in one semi-organized webspace. If you're interested, please check out my blog. Feedback is welcome.

I like that domain name. I've wanted to do something similar but I just can't find the motivation. I've added your site to my collection of "Reading" sites.

Thanks. I actually couldn't believe that that domain name was available.

I've only been into the retro-computing hobby for a little over a year now and so I still have a lot to learn from others. I don't feel like I give enough back to the community. So I thought I would do a blog where I could maybe collect all of the things I have learned and share them. That is really the motivation behind the site.

I like your site also. I tried to add it to my RSS reader (I know nobody uses RSS anymore, but unsurprisingly for someone here I'm stuck in the past) but had problems getting the feed. Is it just me, or is there something you could check on with that?

Thanks,

Thank you for the feedback Ernie.

I will check on it. RSS is still something I use as well. Does anyone know of an RSS reader for Apple IIgs? If not, I wonder what it would take to make one? Would be cool to be able to read news and blog sites from an actual Apple II. I have it currently hosted on a 'free' hosting site, so they may or may not allow RSS, but I'll check.

There are better places to host it and I will probably move it once I really get it off of the ground. I want to use some Wordpress features that are also not available on the current hosting server.

If I move it, the domain will move with me, so the URL will stay the same.

I clicked on the Feed RSS link on my site from my iMac running 10.7.5 in Safari, and it opened the URL in Apple Mail (not my favorite reader) and seemed to work properly.

Which RSS reader are you using? I will debug this if I can use the same reader.

Sorry. I meant that I clicked on the 'Entries RSS' link.

I tried a couple of different ways to try to get around what I was seeing.... I have an RSS plugin in Safari that is supposed to feed the link to my reader, but it doesn't always work, so I tried it by hand too. My reader is Reeder for Mac OS. It syncs via Feedly, so I went to Feedly on the web and couldn't add it there either.

What URL do you have for the feed? Maybe I botched that part.

Well, that explains the inconsistent behavior I guess! I was only trying from my app and the service that syncs the app. I was using the same URL...

I was excited to see that your blog is http, not https, and so thought I could read it on my IIe with Contiki and Uthernet. But the server responds that a javascript-enabled browser is required. Darn. In any case, I really enjoy your musings (via PC). Keep up the great work!

The “free” site was, in fact, free - but they block anything that is out of the ordinary, and this made it hard to add content from mobile devices, as well as a few other issues I noticed. It should now be faster, and you might try the RSS link again...

BOOM goes the dynamite. Works perfectly for me now in my feed reader. Looking forward to tracking your projects!
