Once I had a little thing called a Sharp Zaurus, which was actually
useful, small screen, clamshell, keyboard. The memory battery
eventually went. anyone any idea of anything like that now?

I used to run the Zaurus linux on an iPaq, but that whole segment seemed
to get killed off ... closest I think you'll find now is the Gemini

There are numerous compact or folding keyboards available that should
work with any smartphone or tablet that supporst Bluetooth--they start
around 10 bucks. Or get one that has a stylus and teach it to read
your handwriting.

I an completely gone off the Ipad, which I was once once liked. Its
now all clickbaid sort of thing, click on a tune in Youtube, it asks
if you want to connect to iTunes. 'No, I do not", some sort of
spreadsheet, and the option is to save to the Cloud. 'No, I do not',
so on, and so on. I boought the gemini,599 sterling, will report if
its a dud.

A young friend of mine at XKL ported the KLH10 emulator to the Zaurus and got
TOPS-20 running on it, around the turn of the century or so. Nice little
Linux box that fit in your hand.

As a meeting a few years ago (about ten?) I went strollong, and
discovered a fellow meetinger tapping on his Zaurus. We had no
language in common, so that is all I know

My wife recently bought an iPad. The impression I get is that
we don't so much use it as it uses us.

Give us a quick review anyway.

Or it will report if you are a dud? You may have to report for
re-education.

It can run debian, but I expect most will stick with Android

Seems to have the opposite usability problem from Windows10?
