At one time there was the Addressograph company. I thought
their specialty was making the machines that imprinted charge
plates and imprinted them.

I don't know what their "multilith" low-cost printing system.
Could it have been spirit duplicating? I doubt it was "offset".

But it appears they made other stuff, too.

Probably it was the mimeograph - wax stencils with the wax upon cloth through
which ink could pass where the wax was removed.

However, I know some mimeograph companies also made offset lithography equipment
as well, at, of course, higher prices.
