Up to recently, no problems but when updating to the latest version, it goes through the motions but no joy.

Perhaps you have wrong version? It is easy to get a G5 or G3 version
by mistake.

Not so in this case, 7450 "e" processor, etc has worked fine for former versions but the latest, no go..
