“Killing Bites” is a adaptation of a fighting/tournament manga series from the “Hero's” seinen manga magazine. This is pure, silly trash. A clueless university economics student finds himself driving a rape-van for some acquaintances when the rapists make the mistake of grabbing a high school girl who has been genetically modified to be able to transform into a honey badger. While Clueless tries to stop the van Hitomi the Killer Honey Badger slaughters the rapists and then forces Clueless to drive her to a junkyard full of bodies where Hitomi gets into a tournament fight with a guy who transforms into a lion. Hitomi forces Clueless to bet on her and after killing the lion-guy gets orders to go home with Clueless.
The girls are all over-developed and underdressed. The tournament fights are staged as if this were a video game. The fighting animation is reasonably well done. Clueless provides comic relief. The opening and closing animations imply that most of the competitors will be underdressed animal monster-babes, with few exceptions. There is dialog and background music, but both are irrelevant.
I had a few laughs at the first episode, but there is really nothing here to keep my attention, so I won't be watching any more. My final rating is C.
