I just got a one-page advertising blurb on the Persyste BoB.
Here is the best inference I can muster up:

BoB stands for "Best of Both"
Clear, sharp alphanumeric text on high-res monochrome or color monitors...
	with a 10 x 16 character cell.
Compatible with IBM color graphic SOFTWARE [emphasis theirs; I
	assume that means not compatible with standard hardware.
	Assumption further confirmed by...]
Monitor specifications: include statements like:
   -	Monochrome monitor - composite video.
   -	Color monitor - RGB or IRGB
   -	Horizontal frequency - 24.83 +-.5 KHz!
   -	Vertical frequency - 56.4 +-5 Hz!
   -	"BoB can be uused with monitors that fit the above specifications."
Pixel resolution is 800 x 400 in alphanumeric, four graphics modes to
	640 x 400 (others include the two IBM compatible modes.)

In short, it gives IBM-compatible graphics as well as high-quality
alpha. The price is a non-standard (400-line high-res) monitor required.
(On the flip side of the sheet, the distributor included a blurb for the
Taxan RGBvision 440, which lists for $800; the blurb makes it clear that
the 440 is for the BoB, and other monitors work with the standard color
board.) The BoB lists for $600. Since both are relatively new products,
the discounts won't be heavy yet. I doubt you'll get board + monitor for
less than about $900.

The foregoing is my own analysis of two pages of advertising. I'd appreciate
followup from anyone with REAL information.
