Hi All,
Correct me if I am wrong but I would like to say thank you to "I am Rob" whose real name is Bob Sander-Cederlof.

Bob is the author of the Apple Assembly Line newsletter, see https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Assembly_Line for more information.

So... Thank you, Bob/Rob/Bobby/Robert :-)

Antoine

If "I am Rob" is a username being used on this or other forums, that is me and I am not him. I would never presume to take credit for Bob's work and he has been an instrumental teacher in getting me started in and keeping me going on the Apple II. He has a lot of really great articles and should be thoroughly thanked over and over again for being an incredible teaching aid.

My name is Robert Giddings and I am a farm boy from Saskatchewan, Canada. My handle is IAMROB, which I started shortly after watching "The Guardians of the Galaxy movie". As far as I know, Bob has never used that handle or any other.

Sorry to have to correct you.

Your website, Antoine, has also been a great programmers inspiration as you put your articles into better English than most.

If there is another "I am Rob" handle out there that you are thanking them for something the did, can you point me to their posts, as I have no intention of stealing some one else's thunder either, and I will change my handle..

Well, some of us already knew that... don't worry... LOL :)

The sasktel.net is a dead giveaway. LOL :)

I wouldn't do that because you are Rob. And you are from the True North
Strong and Free like me and Scott Moe. He is Scott and you are Rob.

I am Bill

My Name is William Buckels and I am a fisherman from Gimli, Manitoba. I do
not have a handle because I am not a pump.

You do not have a handle because the vandal took it.

The pump don't work 'cause the vandals too the handles...

Yes that is true... but perhaps the pump works just fine... and it is the
handle that don't work when one reaches a certain age.

LOL! Love your humor.

I doubt the vandal would get away with it. Bill is a fisherman and
those guys are tough. Especially the Canuck ones that fish in -30°C
weather. :)

I am Jerry, another Canadian, but from a city in the west.

Hah! Jerry beat me to the punch line.

I was half expecting a fishing reference, Bill, that your fishing rod doesn’t have a handle.

I would have had a quicker come-back with something like “is that because you use .net?”

You already know that we use square hooks (no rods) and the only other
handle I've got is "Big Bill" on my marine radio... andalso "Uncle Willy" if
you want to go back to my BBS days ("The BuckBoard" BBS out of Winnipeg
running on Maximus... )

LOL :)

When I left Software Development and .NET altogether in 2009, I would have
said I've taken the dot out of .NET... now I just use a net.

But I used handles in most modern languages like C/C++ when I used
Hungarian Naming. Still do so why should the vandals take just the handles
when they can have the source code for nothing? ... kinda like a farm boy
from Saskathewan not buying the cow when he can have the milk for free.

We gotta install microwave ovens

We gotta move these refrigerators
We gotta move these color TV's.

May I please go now :)
