A studio of Kyoto Animation is still burning. A report said that more
than 30 staffs got injured. About 10 of them are in a coma and a few
of them seem to have died. A man of 40+ was caught and is under
investigation by the police. He seems to have spreaded oil on the
floor and fired that caused a huge explosion in the building.

A horrible tragedy. News coverage is now saying that at least 20 people were killed and many more badly burned.

I hope that you will keep us informed. Your messages bring
us some sense of what is happening in Japan.

The fire was finally extinguished completely 20 hours after the
explosion. The terrorism killed 33 staffs and injured 35 who were
working for one of the brightest gem in the anme industry.
I sincerey express my condolences to the casualities of this terrorism.
I deeply wish they will recover from this tragedy and give dreams and
touching stories to anime fans all over the world again.

I can only echo your fine sentiments at this time.
This is on a level with the firearms tragedies in the USA
at schools, religious facilities and businesses.
bliss- a fount of nearly useless information about people
who only existed as images poorly printed on cheap paper
and in the minds of countless young victims of cheap presses.

One more staff died. We still don't know any name of the casualties.
The hospital gathers DNA samples to identify who is who.
The suspect, 41-year old, is badly injured and the investigation goes
slowly. He takes a conditional public support for jobless citizen due to
a mental sickness. Seven years ago, he was charged for robbery in a
convenience store and served 3.5 years in prison. He sometimes made
trouble between neighbors in the apartments for loud noises. The manager
of the house witnessed his violent personality.
When the police caught him, he said "I did it because they stole my
novel!" What a delusion led this catastrophe. Very very sad, indeed.
