Hello Linda,

Sounds good to me.

The cheaper shipping way is not needed.

Tell me the correct amount for the shipping and I will get the US Post Office Money Order for you and mail it to your mailing address.

Use this following email address below to send me your mailing address and I will send you the my mailing address:

I checked the U.S.Post office and they have so many diifferent size envelope mailers and boxes, that I just picked the one that looked most size-appropriate. They said, $7.25 is what it will cost to mail all the Wheels/GEOS stuff I initially mentioned. plus a few disks I did not mention before: GEOS printer drivers and extras, Sargon II, C= Assembler, Certificate Maker, Chipwits, Print Shop, C128 Filer/Build Diskette, C128 Merge/Sort Diskette, C128 Applications Diskette, C28 Printer Diskette, C128 Speller Diskette, C128 Edit Diskette. Those later disks I just stuffed into the envelope and I don't think they added more than a few cents, as the real weight was the two WHEELS Owner's Manuals, and packages of original Wheels disks, and GeoPublish manuals.

Next time I go, I'll see if there's a cheaper rate for books, as books, IIRC, are considered in a different category--just cannot recall the name, but I remember years ago that Maruice Randall said he mailed a bunch of magazines from FL to MI (or vice vesa?) and used that special rate for magazines and books.
Ok, I'll wait to hear from you.

Quicker for you to get cash that way, I think.

How does this sound? I'll take it to Post office and find out exactly how much it will be Priority Mail, as that's probably cheapest. Then I'll e you to let you know, and send me a check. The reason I ask for shipping ahead of time is that I sent an entire C= system to a woman in New York some years ago, and she never even paid for the C= equipment or the shipping!

I've been in the C= community for decades and have always been up front with people, so if you send me a check for shipping, I guarantee I'll send you everything I mentioned in the e. And if I can find a few bonus items, maybe send them as well!
Happy New Year, and in a day or so I'll post the shipping amount here.

Does anyone still use Wheels 64/128? I'm thinning out my stuff and have the originals of each, and no longer use any GEOS or Wheels. The 128 is V4.2, and 64 is V4.2. Everything needed to use GEOS/Wheels is here: Owner's Manual and disks. Also included is GeoPublish and GeoPublaser, as well as disks 1,2, and 3 of GEOS 2.0.
It is free if someone pays for shipping from Missouri. I haven't weighed it all, but am guessing it's a couple of pounds, but maybe Priority Mail is the best way to ship something rather small anyway.

Happy New Year, C= and Ami comrades!

The next meeting of the Southern California Commodore & Amiga Network

is Saturday, January 12, from 2 to 5+ p.m. at

Panera Bread Restaurant

19662 Nordhoff Street

Northridge, California

(818) 407-9400

We'll talk about DTLA Maker Faire which was on Dec. 1 and the Retro

City Festival which was last weekend. Both shows tiring but

exciting!

In hardware, I'll bring in the Ultimate 64, and if member Bogdan

brings his, then there will be two Ultimate 64's for us to examine!

If member Mario brings in the Amiga 500 v8, we can play around with

that one, too. Naturally, we'll have a VIC-20 and Plus/4, and we can

run some of the programs that just came out for them, like Digiloi

for the Plus/4 (shown at the Retro City Fest). Then there are the

strange and mysterious bits to see, like the classic Indus GT disk

drive for Commodores and the Plus/4 joystick adapters from AmigaKit.

As always, bring in any Commodore/Amiga hardware and/or software you

wish to share!
