Wondering if images you copy into sheepshaver can be imaged to a floppy
disk via an external usb floppy drive?

I'm not absolutely sure either way.

What I *am* sure about is that any such support will only work for high-density 1.4MB disks, not the older double-density 800KB disks used by the earliest Mac models. The latter require a variable-speed drive, which PC drives are not. As long as your Mac is new enough to have high-density disk support (including a SWIM controller), you'll be fine on that point.

Can you network the target mac?
You can use floppy drives via a amiga (880k) or you need a catweasel for
amiga/pc compatibility to mac 1.4.
Look into networking. My classic mac can network.
Or serial cable transfer if your handy with whats required
