Hi everyone.

A few weeks ago I bought my first Macintosh Classic, the Mac Classic came
with three floppy disks: System Startup, System Additions and Macintosh
Basic. The System Startup disk works fine, and thanks to this I was able to
boot and install System 6.0.7 on the hard drive. However the other two are
dead. I have tried to get an image of these disks on internet but it is
impossible (and buying it on ebay is not a option because of the expensive
shipping prices to my country, and because no one insures that they really
work).

Anyone have a image of the System Addition and Macintosh Basic disks that
came with the Macintosh Classic, or know where i can download the images?

Thanks!

Each Mac shipped with a small set of system disks for that particular
model, but you can also use one of Apple's full system releases which
contains files for all Macintosh models. Here are some system images I have
collected over time:

Either System 6.0.8 or System 7.0.1 should be appropriate for you:

also the classic is the only mac that can start up from rom into 6.0.8. I think the key combo is command option o p all at once when turned on.

It had been a while since I last looked at it, but I see that the
official Apple website no longer has their "older software" page...
Sad to see they've cut all ties with their past. Lately, I've been
cutting ties with Apple.

I still have images for most System software versions, and can make
floppies for people if they don't have the capability themselves.
There might be a bit of a lead time, however, as I moved over the
summer and have not re-established my Mac lab.

Thanks to all for the help! Finally I have the same copy of System 6.0.7
that came with my Macintosh Classic. A good man from Macintoshgarden.org
sent me the link to the Apple Developer CDs 1992
< http://macintoshgarden.org/apps/apple-developer-cd-collectio n> that
contains the System 6.0.7 images. And thanks to Dylan McDermond I have the
Macintosh Basics disk again.
