Keywords: How do you get provisions?
I hope you don't mind the game question here, but I think this problem
might be ST specific (I asked this question to someone who had the
Apple II version long ago, and he didn't have this problem).
I can't seem to get any provisions. I always starve to death. I see
wandering shopkeepers who ask me if I want to buy apples, but I can't
find a way to buy them. I just keep getting the same query.
Thanks.

P.S. CompuClub finally came through and delivered Ultima II a week
after they promised it.

Well, if it's the same as the C64 version, you can (o)ffer the shopkeepers
money, but you won't get anything from them. The only way I know to get
food is to go to a food shop (they have names like McDonald's or Alfred's
Fish and Chips). Not every town has a food shop. Try looking in different
towns.
