Look in the back of Computer Shopper for really good deals on cables
and power strips. I bought a sheilded ibm printer cable and a surge
protected power strip for $10 and $13 each. Needless to say one
should exercise some caution in going mail order, although for small
items such as these the risk is low. The prices you quote are
usually locally available at discount computer stores. At least
they are in the local Washington D.C. area.
