I had cause to attempt to connect my cellphone to my G4 and attempt to
download data like pictures and contacts
to my DA running 10.4.11
I got a message on the phone about connecting and nothing happened on the
G4.
Can this be done? I bought a mini to usb cable which connects OK, but then
nothing
happens.
I managed to run one of my phones through the washer and I have it dried
out and
it runs and the other phone is my replacement phone.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Mark Murphy

It depends on the phone and possibly te carrier. First place I'd start is with the manual and see what it says about connecting to a computer.
Also, "System Information" (in the Utilities folder) is a useful tool here. Look through the USB section with the phone connected; sometimes the Product and Vendor ID's can lead you to a driver for the USB interface in the phone.
